Summary
This Manager will lead the project management team in all strategic projects for CHG Healthcare to better position our company to meet our growth goals. The Manager of the Project Management is responsible for assuring all projects adhere to established PM standards.
Job Duties
Essential -
? Responsible for leading all project manager and business systems analysis and QA resources
? Establish project management policies and guidelines
? Recruit and manage project managers and business systems analyst
? Assign resources to new projects
? Identify staffing shortages/overages and make recommendations for solutions
? Provide support and training to staff
? Responsible to develop recommendations and implement improvements to the current project/portfolio management processes
? This manager will also be required to manage key strategic initiatives as necessary
? Leads cross-functional teams involving Software Development, Architecture, IT Operations, and multiple Business Units as necessary.
? Act as the single point of contact to the business and other IT groups during project lifecycle.
? Responsible for coordination of project resources; Ensures IT and business areas are involved as appropriate
? Establish & track project critical path, milestones and deliverables
? Set and continually manage expectations with business partners.
? Establishes project success criteria, and drives the project to meet established measures.
? Responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing project schedules.
?Manages scope, issues, constraints, risks, assumptions and change control process throughout project lifecycle.
?Track and report project progress and status.
?Initiate escalation of issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
?Coordinates User Acceptance testing.
?Ensure successful project deployment to production.
?Conduct project post mortems and report feedback to Project Management team in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

? Proven track record and experience in leading and managing projects following traditional Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
? Proven track record in managing complex software development projects to completion on time and within budget
? Builds trust among business partners and other IT professionals.
? Effective problem solving skills exhibited by effective collaboration among project team members to resolve issues and drive the project forward.
? Proven experience providing leadership to the project team
? Proven effectiveness in managing project resources and schedules at all level
? Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at one time.?
Experience & Education:
Essential-
? College degree in technical or business field
? 7+ years experience leading software development projects.
? Experience using Microsoft Project, Visio, Work, Excel, Powerpoint
Non-essential -
? PMI Certification

? Ability to effectively lead a team
? Ability to manage project scope
? Ability to effectively negotiate with business leaders on project priorities, scope and schedule.
? Proven ability to drive results and meet or exceed targets
? Ability to lead business partners through the analyze phase identifying and capturing business requirements
? Ability to lead business partners in documenting business requirements and then lead them through the conversion of high level business requirements into process flows, use cases, and Six Sigma process maps
? Ability to convert business requirements into development and project tasks to be managed within the technical teams
? Ability to plan and manage the entire life cycle of the project including developing test plans, implementation schedules, and post implementation support
