IT Manager
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the IT Manager is a working manager for a small IT team which provides first and second level hardware, software, and operating system support for computer and phone systems, copiers, printers, and faxes. This individual will also provide in house technical support and will be relied on to contribute expertise and ideas for future technology needs. As the IT Manager, you will ensure that the IT department adheres to the company mission statement and core values.
Responsibilities
Provides first and second level support for resolution of end-user computer problems and requests
Researches computer problems, recommends and implement solutions
Support Apple Mac environments
Support systems located in remote offices
Client desktop installations, upgrades and patches
Respond to server maintenance calls and interface with vendors to bring to resolution.
Required to work some weekends, evenings, and nights as well as be available for ?on-call? support
Ability to work directly with the business, at all levels and build and maintain relationships with the user community
Monitor systems and review system logs for problems
Provide desktop and server support for computer hardware and software
Configures, deploys, and maintains workstation and server hardware and software
Perform proactive maintenance on copiers, printers, fax machines and other related IT hardware
Track and maintain workstation hardware and software inventory
Provide phone system support, including cell phone, and mobile devices
Additional projects as assigned
Skills
Ability to troubleshoot problems and take swift corrective action to solve the problem.
Ability to handle all job duties with minimal supervision or coaching
Manage others in completing tasks and assignments.
Demonstrate leadership skills in terms of coaching and delegating assignments as necessary
Excellent customer relation?s skills and good phone manners
Prioritize and manage time and requests efficiently
PC knowledge of hardware and software
Understanding of Apple Mac, and Windows systems
Knowledge of Windows and common desktop applications
Knowledge of data and voice networks
Able to deal with stressful situations in a courteous and friendly manner
Familiar with Apple Mac environments
Excellent attention to detail
Experience & Abilities
Solid knowledge of PC and server hardware and operating systems
Experience working on an information systems helpdesk
Ability to manage systems in remote offices
Interface wth clients, team members, and other employees in a courteous, respectful, and business-like manner
Ability to manager multiple tasks at one time
Ability to work independently as well as working on project teams
Able to lift and carry 30 lbs ten feet
Able to assess and understand needs and problems and follow up on these in a timely manner
