We are seeking an experienced technical manager who has the demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a team in building and managing a high performance and efficient IT operations infrastructure. Success in this position requires solid technical depth in the areas of Windows, Linux/UNIX, and network administration as well as experience in virtualization and storage technologies. This hands-on management position provides an ideal environment for the manager who wants to keep their technical skills honed with today's ever-changing IT technology stacks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, plan, and administer the overall goals and directions for the IT Operations team.
- Establish strategy, and roadmap for Vendavo's global IT infrastructure.
- Drive implementation of key IT infrastructure initiatives
- Establish a repeatable process to support SLAs for IT services and requests and collect service and operational metrics to measure compliance.
- Implement an effective global infrastructure to meet SLA's for IT services and requests.
- Help drive SaaS IT architecture and infrastructure for Vendavo's Cloud based hosting operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong listening and collaboration skills with a willingness to mentor and be mentored.
- Experience successfully leading, motivating, and building an IT Operations team.
- Experience leading IT infrastructure projects and driving them to completion on time and within budget.
- Strong technical acumen with the desire to be “hands on†with the team when necessary.
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Technical depth and experience with: Windows system administration, Linux / UNIX system administration, Designing and managing networks (Juniper experience a plus), Virtualization technology (VMWare and Citrix XenServer), Storage Technology (Network Appliance)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with SaaS based Hosting Operations a plus
- Experience with automated deployment technologies (Chef, Puppet, etc…) a plus.
