AxialMarket is a tech company that is quickly growing into operational maturity. As the IT Ops Manager at AxialMarket, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, provisioning, and iteratively refining our IT environment. You will fill a key role in the organization by balancing demanding office and organizational needs, with costs, security, and practicality. You will collaborate closely with our Office Management and Directors of every division of our company and will report to our VP of Finance, and for some time, have the backing of the Infrastructure Engineers who work on our core product.We're going to want you on our team if you:
- love and geek out on networked computing
- understand web browser technical fundamentals
- have a strong desire to automate work
- are compelled to constantly improve systems
- can balance risk/features in quantifiable ways
- can work according to business-driven objectives
- can quantify and manage vendor vs. internal efforts
- are comfortable with fundamental desktop support
(we are a 'mostly Mac' environment)
- are comfortable with basic ipv4 networking, dns, vpn's, etc...
- understand IP telephony systems
- you have strong time and expectation management skills
- communicate and collaborate well
You get bonus points for OR will potentially gain in this position:
- experience with high-availability networking
- practical experience with network and computer security
- comfortability with basic ipv6 networking
- experience with any programming language(s)
- experience hardening environments without alienating users
- experience with Email systems, (email service, user migrations, etc)
- UNIX (BSD/Linux/other) Experience
