Role: IT Software Engineer - Oracle DBA

Experience: 5-7 years

Location: Hyderabad

Responsibilities:

• Five or more years of experience as a DBA
  
• A solid understanding of SQL Server (2005 â€" 2008R2) architecture and replication with good T-SQL programming skills
  
• Not required but desired - a solid understanding of Oracle architecture with good PL/SQL programming skills
  
• Strong Windows skills essential (Linux/Unix a plus)
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of RMAN (Not required but desired)
  
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills required
  
• Strong written, verbal and auditory skills
  
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, fluid work environment
  
• Strong ability to balance speed and quality of work is a must
  

SQL Server Specific Database Administration

• Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases and replication
  
• Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server internals
  
• Thorough understanding of T-SQL scripting
  
• Utilize SQL Profiler to diagnose and resolve issues
  
• Fully demonstrate ability to locate and resolve performance issues including SQL tuning
