IT Support Specialist Better Place

The selected candidate will be part of a small team responsible for IT Support of a fast growing global startup. This is a multi-faceted position where the individual will act in many capacities including but not limited to desktop, server and network support.

Required Experience and technical skills:
- 3 years of experience in IT
- Experience with Mac OS and Windows XP and 7
- Experience with MS-Office products on windows and Mac (entourage)
- Experience supporting a mobile workforce (Cisco VPN Client, SSL, etc)
- Experience supporting Blackberry users and iphone
- Knowledge of Windows Server Technologies (Active Directory, Exchange)
- Knowledge of Windows 2003 and 2007 servers

Job Description:
This position will support users in our Palo Alto office and in other locations globally. The individual will support Macs and Windows clients (XP and 7) in a Microsoft network environment. Our user base is highly mobile and global in nature, so support of remote access technology such as VPN is required. Ability to setup, troubleshoot and address network issues including wireless clients is a must. Knowledge of technologies like Exchange, MS Active Directory, SharePoint and related technologies are a plus. We are looking for an energetic person who has the experience supporting such an environment. Outstanding work ethic with a can do attitude and great communication skills.

Certifications:
Apple, Microsoft and Cisco certifications are a plus.

Education:
University Degree in Technology Field or equivalent professional experience

Other job requirements:
Flexibility to work after hours and weekends when needed

- This is a 3 - 6 month contract role.
