As a member of IT you will be supporting local and remote users on nearly every end-user platform including Windows, Mac, Linux, Blackberry, iOS, and Android, in order to keep the company competitive in a global market. Job Responsibilities:
Support end users running various OS?s, primarily Windows (XP, 7) and OS X (Snow Leopard, Lion)
Support desktop applications such as Adobe product suite, Trend Micro Antivirus, CVS/SVN, GPG/PGP
Support ShoreTel phone system (configure extensions, work groups, hunt groups, menus, etc)
New user setup including account creations/deployments, hardware/software procurement, phone setup
Hardware and software asset tracking
Troubleshoot remote user issues including VPN, smartphones, and hardware failures often over long-distance connections and across time zones
Required Skills:
3 years experience in desktop support
Calm, patient, and professional demeanor when working with end users
Professional-level knowledge of user-oriented OS?s:
Windows (XP, Vista, 7)
OS X (Snow Leopard, Lion)
Ability to troubleshoot hardware problems (comfortable using tools to identify memory errors)
Support experience with various desktop applications such as Microsoft Office (2007, 2010, 2011 for Mac), Adobe product suite, Antivirus, etc
Trained in clear communication and documentation of procedures and policies
Familiar with working in a helpdesk ticketing system
Setup and troubleshoot Cisco AnyConnect VPN software
Troubleshoot 802.11A/B/G/N issues and 802.1x authentication
Desired Skills:
BS in computer science, MIS, or related field
Experience with hardware and software license procurement
Knowledge of HP Proliant servers, desktops and Lenovo laptops
History of working with ShoreTel or other modern VoIP phone systems
Troubleshoot network and phone PoE issues
