Description
Essential Job Description:
Maintains the helpdesk queue, including first level response to new work orders. Will also work with the IT Operations team to proactively identify and address issues via training, automation, and preventive maintenance
Maintains Sophos database to ensure systems are devoid of viruses and malware
Ensures client systems are regularly patched with the latest Microsoft updates
Works with Finance to maintain process for managing the hardware inventory
Maintains the software inventory and ensuring applications are within compliance
On-boards personnel (creating AD / Exchange accounts, telephone extension, working with procurement in purchase of system, and orientation)
Provides user training via formal / informal presentation and documentation
Documents actions, processes, and procedures
Participates in on-call rotation to assist in afterhours support
Experience/Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 to 2 years of recent work experience in an environment maintaining client systems and applications
Must possess experience in deploying and/or supporting anti-virus, Spyware and other system protection tools
Experience with remotely supporting offices & users in other countries and regions
Strong service-oriented mentality
Must be able to travel
