WindLogics provides innovative forecasting and optimization solutions that enable low cost, reliable and sustainable power systems. The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, servers and related infrastructure. Provides end-user support for wide variety of applications and systems both internally developed and off the shelf. This individual also ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to corporate standards and policies.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities:
Install new and rebuild existing servers, desktops, laptops, applications and peripherals.
Design, implement and maintain WindowsRed Hat Desktop and Server deployment tools.
Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, SharePoint, Sophos AV, and ApplicationOS Patching.
Develop and maintain automation tools to improve productivity and system consistency.
Work with and support the Science, Applied Math and Software Engineering teams to develop new products and tools.
Provide support to the Software Engineering, Applied Math and Data Modeling teams.
Repair and recover from hardware and software failures.
Administer Microsoft SharePoint and Exchange 2010 Server.
Participate in 24-7 on call rotation.
Some travel is required.
3+ years Server and System Administration experience
The ability to learn, develop and deploy new technologies in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
Experience deploying and supporting the following technologies: Active Directory Group Policy, Red Hat Server, Windows
Server and Desktop OS, Microsoft Office 2010, Exchange 2010, Printers and Networks.
Project management skills: plan work flow, coordinate projects and resolve conflicting demands.
Familiarity with IT and Business methodologies including: Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma, etc.
Scripting Experience: Pearl, PHP, PowerShell, WSH, or other.
Other experience, valuable but not required: VMWare, Firewalls/Routers/VPN, Fibre Channel, Infinband and Ethernet
Switches, Ubuntu, OS X Server, SAN/NAS Storage, Atlassian Products, Hadoop, MongoDB, LAMP, etc.
High School Grad / GED: Yes; Bachelor?s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: Yes; Experience:5+ years;
