Responsibilities:
As an IT Systems Analyst - SQL Developer, you will work on a team responsible for developing and supporting data processing applications and hardware using various technologies to manage the various systems of the organization's business.
The team?s tools and reporting applications are SQL Server centric with SSIS and Stored Procedures but also trending towards leading edge technologies such as WPF, WCF, etc. along with OLTP, OLAP and Data Warehousing BI solutions.
The team is small but becoming more of an Agile managed environment with a focus on short release cycles and dynamic business requirements. This team handles the maintenance and enhancements to existing tools as well as refactoring current tools to new technologies and development of tools for new business needs.
The IT Systems Analyst role is needed to support all aspects of IT as it relates to these system operations. Specific tasks though diverse, will cover areas such as mapping existing system data into new data structures/systems, analyzing data to ensure data-redundant systems are processing correctly, supporting existing system, storage and application infrastructures and solutions, identifying of data issues and proposing solutions. An ability to effectively troubleshoot existing software implementations in an efficient manner will be critical to success in this position.
Responsible for developing and supporting data processing applications and hardware using various technologies to manage the various systems of the organization's business.
Develop a clear understanding of business processes and needs.
Become a Subject Matter Expert on the business? applications, databases, reporting requirements and underlying data associated including problem-solving and troubleshooting complex issues as they arise
Participate in the data needs and impacts for on-going development and maintenance of the systems.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate combines experience with very large datasets (MS SQL Server 2005/2008), business application programming tools (VB, VBA, or similar), scripting technologies and the business understanding to mine data, automate workflows and implement Business Intelligence principals using the latest ETL (Extraction, Transaction, Loading) principals.
Experienced in design, analysis, administration and implementation of SQL Server databases in Complex Relational Database Designs
Proficiency in Windows System Administration, Systems/Database Backup Management and Data Lifecycle Management
Understand Business Intelligence principals as it relates to the commingling of multiple datasets to develop a streamlined, efficient representation of transaction lifecycles.
Support of large volume data conversion, data cleansing, production report generation, and upholding scheduled data delivery standards
Ability to rapidly implement technical solutions designed to maximize operational efficiency and productivity.
Analyze data to ensure integrity; troubleshoot data issues and provide solutions.
Highly organized and productive, with strong prioritization abilities
Strong sense of teamwork and cross-disciplinary collaboration
Excellent verbal written skills with a commitment to sound documentation principals
Ability to explain with clarity and understanding data functions and data tracking means to an audience of varied levels of computer literacy throughout multiple functional areas
