JOB DESCRIPTIONThe BeyondTrust IT department enables, supports, and secures BeyondTrust employees. The BeyondTrust IT department is looking for a UNIX/LINUX System Engineer to be an IT Hero for the BeyondTrust employees. You will be the go-to person for a myriad of complex requests and issues, and will juggle and track multiple issues simultaneously while providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Make it work: Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot a complex development environment filled with all types of hardware, various operating systems, and different vendors.
Make it professional: Provide exceptional customer service and document ticket progress in real time.
Make it better: Show your skill by preemptively resolving issues, keeping an eye out for ways to improve everyone?s interactions with technology.
Make it secure: As a company in the security field we have important security policies and procedures for you to absorb and exemplify.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Unix/Linux Experience: at least 5 years? experience with Unix/Linux administration.
AIX 5.2 - 7.1 - Experience with HMC, IVM and various IBM hardware
Sun Solaris 5.8 - 5.11 - Experience with Zones, LDOMs and various Sun/Oracle hardware
HP-UX 11.11 - 11.31 - Experience with various HP-UX hardware and virtualization
Linux - RedHat, SUSE, Debian and Ubuntu
VMware - ESX 3.5 - 5.1 (vCloud Director preferred)
Experience with SVN, CVS and GIT
Experience with Rational PurifyPlus
Databases: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server
Storage: EMC VNX Series, HP EVA and MSA Series, Brocade FC switches
Hardware: HP C7000 series blade chassis, HP Proliant G-series servers
Networking: Cisco switches, routers and ASA, Palo Alto firewalls
