Job Description and Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be working as a software engineer in the quality engineering automation team building Java web applications, developing test and performance frameworks to improve the quality of the AppDynamics product.
Develop Java Web Applications
Develop and improve functional and performance automation frameworks
Implement new automated test cases
Develop tools to increase end to end automation of the QA process
Independent, self-driven, ?can do? and ?no mountain is too high? attitude.
Experience in Java or ability to learn Java quickly while having a strong C# or Java background
Past quality assurance experience or strong desire in learning quality assurance principles
Interest in quickly diving into any new project or technology and learning all about it
Detail oriented and curious
Top notch coding skills
Researches new technology or development tools to stay current on technology
Proactive communication skills
Solid understanding of core software development concepts
Ability to think outside the box and break software
Knowledge about unit testing and integration testing for functionality and performance
Interest in working on a rapidly changing, ever-evolving system
Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems and a willingness to take on new features
Past development or automation internship (at least 3 months) required
Located in the SOMA district of San Francisco among many other tech start-ups
Easily accessible by public transportation (CalTrain, Muni, and BART)
Near the Giants baseball stadium and San Francisco waterfront
