Java (Back End) Software Developer Scivantage

Fulltime salaried employee position

Candidate will work on team of developers to support major brokerage clients.

Required Skills:

- Programmer with minimum 3-5 years experience with Java, Unix shell scripts and PL/SQL programming
- Candidate must demonstrate experience and proficiency with Weblogic, Oracle and UNIX.
- Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot existing code and make modifications to remedy issues.
- Must be able to review business/functional requirements, and provide detailed design specifications and estimates of work required.
- Ability to translate project design into code, working within an existing Java framework.
- Must meet tight deadlines and work on several projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work within a team environment as well as work independently on projects.
- Excellent oral/written communication and problem-solving skills.
- Will consider other J2EE and SQL server experience for the right candidate.
- A background in financial/brokerage industry is a plus.
