Java Engineer - Ad Server Technology Tremor Video

We're looking for an experience Java Developer capable of designing and building various parts of Tremor Video?s high performance, highly scalable ad server, supporting hundreds of millions of requests per day. This person will be exposed to all layers of the Tremor Video's server-side platform and all phases of our development cycle. This is also an opportunity to work alongside advanced and experimental research in Machine Learning algorithms. You'll have daily interaction with MySQL, Hadoop, Cassandra, HBase, Memcached, Linux, Tomcat, Spring. We're looking for people excited and motivated to build something new and who will thrive in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
Designing and building various parts of Tremor Video?s state-of-the-art Java web system
Will work with various enterprise-class client portals, and a scalable ad server (supporting hundreds of millions of requests per day)
Log handling and processing
Reporting and administration
Daily interaction with the following technologies; MySQL, Hadoop, Cassandra, HBase, Memcached, Linux, Tomcat, Spring
Support our foundation of scalability, performance and robustness
Qualifications:
5+ years of development in Java + Linux environments
Experience building scalable, high-performance applications
Solid understanding of Spring and Hibernate frameworks connecting to relational data storage technology such as MySQL
US citizenship or permanent resident
Prefer CS degrees
Pluses:
Experience working with various noSQL technologies such as Hadoop, Cassandra, Memcached/DB,
Lucene/Solr and HBase
Character Profile:
Adaptable, resourceful and independent
Excellent communication skills
High energy level & excellent people/team member skills
