JavaScript / Java Developer - Architect Level iRise
Description
This position is in the Silicon Beach area of Los Angeles (City of El Segundo)
Are you a hands on Architect looking for the opportunity to challenge the way things are done in software development? Want to be in a collaborative environment which pushes out the boundaries of technology to make groundbreaking products?
We are looking for sharp, fun, team playing Architect that enjoys being hands-on, solving challenging problems, mentoring Developers while using the latest technologies. If you stay up at night, thinking about how to do something that seems unattainable or have the urge to re-factor, improve the code base and write your tests before your code, then we should talk!
We are looking for someone who takes pride in the craft of developing software; one who keeps their skills sharp and goes above and beyond doing a regular job.
Technologies come and go rapidly, but we know you probably want to know a little bit about our environment. Among many other open source libraries we have recently used include Java 7, Spring 3, Tomcat, Jackrabbit, ActiveMQ, JavaScript, HTML5, advanced CSS, and Objective-C. We work in a continuous integration environment (Hudson, Git, bamboo, maven etc).
We are not wedded to a particular process either (lean, agile, scrum, kanban), but are continuously evaluating what we are doing against what we are using and adapt to make things better. Technology moves quickly and unpredictably, so we keep our eyes on the most advanced tools and innovations.
IRISE ENGINEERING
We are a work hard, play hard crew who believes in self organized, cross functional, collaborative teams. We live by autonomy, mastery and purpose as written about by Dan Pink. We like to sharpen each other by sharing things we have learned, having open discussions and eating lunch together. Trips to bowling, volleyball at the beach (very close by) and dinners or happy hours are just some of the things we enjoy doing together.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We need Architect or Principal level Developers that are hands on and can mentor and sharpen agile teams of developers, both on and nearshore.
