Junior Business Analyst will provide functional support between the technology group, finance and data warehouse team, in the design and management of internal performance financial reports as well as supporting Product Operations.
This includes support of business analytics, data reporting enhancements to existing applications, new applications, responding to support requests for internal and external reports, and supporting the QA process.
The Business Analyst will also support other Product Operations including, but not limited to, time allocation collection and adhoc data analysis.
This Position will:
Serve as the strategic interface between internal IT groups, data warehouse, and finance to created reports, resolve data discrepancies, and fulfill requests for functions supported by the team.
Pro-actively communicate, and manage user expectations for systems supported with potential to support other reporting systems within Myspace.
Conducts requirements knowledge transfer sessions with the technical team for new product builds and in support of existing analytical reporting requirements.
Develop internal auditing of tracked data, verifies live data, oversees testing prior to delivery to business users; coordinate with internal QA resource pool as needed
Work with business users to document and re-engineer reporting business processes.
Be proactive in identifying enhancement work for existing reports.
Investigate anomalies in site metrics, requesting/building ad-hoc reports as necessary.
Requirements Job Qualifications:
1-3 years business analyst experience. Or education equivalent.
Operational knowledge of Excel
Solid understanding of business finance, including revenue allocation and income attribution.
Understanding of music industry and major labels.
General understanding of database technology.
General understanding of digital media and social network.
Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
Detail oriented. Able to manage large data sets while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
Comfortable dealing with all levels from executive management to technology personnel.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability to present complex technical information to non-technical business users
Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and adjust to frequent changes in requirements and deadlines
Focused on delivering results
Ability to ?own? projects and work independently with minimal supervision
