In this role, you will be responsible for creating test models for simulating internet attacks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our extremely well-read blog about any technical topic of interest, including day-to-day work or outside interests. This individual will be expected to work closely with the other members of the Application and Threat Intelligence (ATI) team.
Reports to: Director of the Application Intelligence Program
Requirements:
--Knowledge of common network protocols
--Programming experience (Ruby preferred)
--Experience with XML
--Creative, problem-solving approach to projects
--Experience working with network and server equipment
Preferred Skills:
--Domain knowledge in vulnerability research and exploit development
--Experience with protocol analyzers (e.g. Wireshark)
Education & Experience:
--College degree in CS or EE

| BreakingPoint was founded by the team that created TippingPoint and the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) for network security. During the creation of the TippingPoint solution it was obvious to the team that network security must be measured using more realistic scenarios in order to truly withstand cyber attack and high-stress application load. After a successful acquisition, some of the TippingPoint leadership created BreakingPoint to address critical network security needs. Having developed the IPS and changed the network security industry at TippingPoint, the founders of BreakingPoint had several "a ha" moments. Legacy testing tools could never truly provide them with the deep analysis of their equipment they needed before deploying into customer networks.
