Jr. Software Developer IJet Intelligent Risk Systems
This position will be reporting to the VP of Software Development working as member of iJET?s software development group. The developer will work with the development team to develop various web-based applications to be used by iJET?s clients. The position will be a combination of maintenance and new development work using Java. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Provide support to existing systems.
Assist in the development of new systems.
Provide support for production deployments.
Troubleshoot production issues.
Work with other business units to develop requirements for new systems.
Education/Experience
Requires BS in computer science or related field.
Prefer 2 to 5 years Java Programming experience with J2EE technologies with a focus on web services.
Skills
Must be able to develop code using Java, J2EE/Web Services and SQL.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Oracle, Unix/Linux, JBoss and portals preferred.
Spring, JPA or Hibernate knowledge a plus, but not required.
