Jr. Software Engineer IJet Intelligent Risk Systems
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are currently looking for talented Jr. Software Developers who are passionate about software to join our growing team of product, technology, and software professionals. The successful candidates will work with a highly experienced, senior engineering team, and have an opportunity to learn new technologies, while refining fundamental skills.
Adhere to the practices and principles of the team and department.
Ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria.
Full participation in team meetings such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning meetings.
Develop sound and secure code that meets requirements.
Research and evaluate tools, frameworks, and other technologies to efficiently address requirements.
Identify impediments, help remove impediments, and execute efficiently any action assigned by the team.
Required skills to be considered for this position include:
1-3 years software development experience using Java.
Computer Science background.
Must be able to develop code using Java, J2EE/Web Services and SQL.
Knowledge of Oracle, Unix/Linux, JBoss and portals preferred.
Knowledge of EJB, SOAP and REST.
Full landscape development experience: front-end to persistence.
Full software lifecycle participation: requirements to post-implementation.
Agile software development/SCRUM.
Linux command line.
Customer and team communication skills.
Nice to have skills that will set you apart from everyone else:
Have worked in a software product company and have developed a product that successfully shipped.
Cloud based software deployment.
Information integration expertise.
XML and in memory database technologies.
