Description
Essential Job Description:
This position will focus on server and support systems and is second tier for end-user support. Additional responsibilities include:
Responsible for the Corporate Active Directory Infrastructure to include design changes, issue resolution, monitoring, and maintenance.
Updates and maintains VoIP telephone systems.
Manages projects for key infrastructure services.
Responsible for all anti-virus and device protection systems.
Responsible for deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and management of key infrastructure systems including, File Servers, SAN, Citrix and Network Switches/Firewalls.
Responsible for routine monitoring, maintaining and performance of VMware Infrastructure.
Responsible for SAP and Business Objects user account and group maintenance.
Supports remote office locations and services.
Secondary responsibility for the global backup and recovery solutions, to include data protection strategies, performing disaster recovery simulations and documentation.
Works with IT Leadership to plan and implement the policies and procedures to support the organization's IT support services.
Provides second tier end-user support including, server, network, and firewall troubleshooting/configuration, developing scripts to address the root cause of redundant issues identified by support technician and developing deployment packages/creating Windows Group Policies
Mentor and assist support technician.
First tier support as backup to support technician in the event of vacation or heavy volume.
Prevent and resolve issues by effectively analyzing the helpdesk system and providing training where necessary.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Experience/Qualifications:
At least 3 years of recent work experience working in at least a midsize corporate environment installing, monitoring and troubleshooting servers and applications running in a multi-tier environment
Associate?s degree from accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with and detailed knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Windows file servers, DFS, Citrix / Terminal Services
Experience with configuring and supporting VoIP telephone systems
Experience with remotely supporting offices & users in other countries and regions
Experience with script development, creating software packages, and Windows Group Policy
Familiarity with system /network monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios)
Experience with and detailed knowledge of enterprise backup systems (NetBackup, CommVault, other) and command knowledge of the principles of system backups, availability, scheduling, server capacity and performance
Experience with VMware vSphere 5.x or higher environment
Experience managing a NetApp SAN is a plus
Experience deploying Windows SharePoint Services, ISA, or other Windows based adjunct technologies in support of business driven initiatives
Skills Required:

Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
