Junior System Administrator/IT Helpdesk
This position will be responsible for providing daily employee support request including IT technical services, Audio/Video services, telephone and meeting support. In addition, this position will be required to help manage and monitor IT asset inventory, new employee equipment setup and monitor servers.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows XP, 7, Mac, and Linux systems
Troubleshoot technical problems reported by users.
Maintain network and system security.
Monitor server and network activity to quickly detect any problems related to system security.
Support LAN and WAN network.
Prepare VM?s for QA or Engineering Departments.
Research and implement new tools for system management.
Maintain internal cloud service
Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2/2008/2003, Windows 8.1/8/7/Vista/XP, Mac OS 10.X.,
UNIX/Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, PfSense)
Previous experience with a combination of: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO, Exchange, Backup System, Print Servers, Kaspersky Business Space Security
Linux/UNIX Software (preferred): LAMP, Zabbix, Asterisk, PfSense
Virtualization: VMware vSphere, XenServer, VirtualBox, KVM
Networking: Cisco, Ubiquiti UniFi, SSH, PuTTY, Iptables, FTP, NAT, LAN/WAN
Mobile Platforms: iOS, Android
Other: Spam Filter, IPMI, iDRAC, RAID
1-3 years experience in providing Desktop/Help Desk support
Strong communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
Intimate knowledge of desktop operating environment
Good desktop/laptop/server assembly skills
A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Effective network troubleshooting skills
Ability to explain technical subject matter clearly and accurately
