Junior Buyer Stion
Primary responsibilities and Essential Functions:
As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for purchase and management of indirect materials and services such as capital equipment, service contracts, facility services and building expansion and construction.
Negotiate agreements with key vendors
Prepare, review, and track purchase orders through the purchasing process
Assist on planning the purchase of indirect materials and supplies
Keep contract and blanket order files, monitor and report their progress
Manage open orders with suppliers to ensure need dates are met
Independently investigates new suppliers for improved price, delivery and quality
Monitor supplier performance and help coordinate quarterly business reviews (QBR?s) with key suppliers
Responsible for processing purchase orders according to established guidelines and in a cost efficient manner
Interface with all departments and suppliers
Place orders as assigned by Purchasing Manager/Director
Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards
Qualification Requirements (Knowledge Skills, Abilities, Experience, Training, Education):
High School Diploma or GED required (Associates or Bachelor's Degree Preferred)
3+ of years of experience in purchasing and commodity management. Previous materials experience in Photovoltaic module manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or renewable energy, a plus.
Operate and work effectively in a team environment
Effective analytical, planning and organizational skills. Skilled in data-driven decision making, including ability to collect, analyze and present statistically valid data
Proven ERP and computer skills, fluent with Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated negotiation skills.
Proven communications and interpersonal skills.
