Junior Designer EPAM Systems
Common information:We are currently looking for Junior Designers for contract and full-time opportunities to join our Philadelphia area team of professionals. Working under the supervision of the Creative Director, Junior Designers are responsible for look & feel exploration, conceptual and visual development, and final execution of design directions. In addition, they assist in asset creation and presentation preparation.
Our ideal candidate will have creative flair and the willingness to expand their skill base to include design for static, dynamic and interactive websites and other projects. Qualified candidates have up to 2 years of professional experience as well as formal design training with strong visual design, interaction design and typographical skills. An in-depth understanding of HTML/CSC, solid knoweldge of functionality and capabilities of web browsers is essential, and knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is required.
While this is initially a junior position there are excellent career progression opportunities to the candidate that shows initiative.

Requirements:
BA/BS in Design, Interactive Media, Art or related field (or other formal training);
0-2 years professional studio/agency experience (interactive agency experience is preferred);
Have a creative eye and excellent design skills;
Competence in Photoshop and Illustrator;
Have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and website design best practices;
Be passionate about design and have an interest in emerging technologies;
Knowledge of Flash a plus.
Responsibilities:
Create web site navigation, look-and-feel based on internal direction;
Design and develop websites from start to finish;
Optimize and create graphics for the web;
Translate concepts and ideas into viable website design concepts;
Editing, updating and expanding existing client websites;
Ability to work in a challenging and fast-pasted environment and manage multiple projects;
Meet all assigned deadlines;
Confidence to approach work seriously while maintaining an open-minded approach to collaboration and constructive criticism;
Understanding of basic marketing principles a plus.
