Jumptap is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer/Production Artist. This role will fill a valuable and much needed position as part of a fast paced design department. This roll will have you working on client projects, internal and external marketing materials, and will help you learn the skills to be successful in the mobile ad market. You will work closely with the head of the design department. Your ability to follow directions, know and follow through with web and mobile optimization is critical. An eye for detail while multitasking and maintaining project schedules is paramount. Direct mobile experience is preferred, however a candidate with a strong digital background will be considered. Some experience with advertising and/or marketing is desired and you must have formal design training and an online portfolio.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Graphic production and resizing of graphics (Adobe Creative Suite ? Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign)
Graphic design and production of ad units for the mobile environment (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Basic user interface and experience design
Basic website design maintenance (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Helping with the creation of promotional signage and corporate branding
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 1- 3 years of graphic design experience
Degree in design-related field
Ability to provide clear creative input and suggest different ways to communicate marketing messages
Detail focused, highly organized and able to multi-task and effectively manage the timely delivery of work against very short deadlines
Excellent communicator who takes direction well and is willing to learn
Previous experience at a media brand, advertising agency or creative agency preferred
Additional Considerations:
Experience with PowerPoint is a plus, as is experience with video editing
Experience with printing and marketing material production
Experience with storyboarding and concepting a plus
Experience in sourcing photography and artwork a plus
