Junior Software Engineer LiveVox

Position Summary:
LiveVox, a leading provider of Web-based IVR solutions, is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to build LiveVoxs next generation Voice Portal. LiveVox is a privately held, venture-backed company based in the financial district of San Francisco.

We have an immediate opening for an entry level Software Engineer. Were looking for someone with a passion to code in either Perl or Java. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced, and sometimes stressful environment.

The ideal candidate will first start with LiveVox in the role of Technical Support or QA. After learning the system and demonstrating an ability to understand the system, the candidate will slowly be transitioned into Engineering.

The qualified Perl candidate must have:

- 1-2 years of experience with Perl development.
- Experience with DBI, Win32::Internet, CGI, XML::Simple, XML::LibXSLT, HTTP::Request, Socket, Log4Perl, LWP::UserAgent is preferred.
- Experience with modperl and Apache is desirable.

The qualified Java candidate must have:

- 1-2 years of experience with Java development.
- 2+ years of experience with Eclipse or MyEclipse.
- Experience with JSPs, MVC, and Hibernate.
- Experience working with JDBC, JUnit, Ant, and XML Parsers, e.g. SAX or DOM.

It is preferred that all candidates have:

- 1-2 years of experience with some flavor of Linux, e.g. CentOS, Fedora, or RHEL.
- Experience working with database administration skills for Oracle, e.g. Toad, OEM, DBArtisan.
- Experience in hosting and deploying 247 web applications.
- Any experience with VXML or VOIP is a plus.
- Any experience with IVR is a plus.
- Any experience with User Interface Design or graphics is a plus.
