Summary:
Provides basic systems administration activities including adding and deleting users. Grants user privileges in accordance with established company policy and procedures. Assists in the daily activities of configuration and operation of business client/server based systems. Configures systems for optimizing system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity and audit functions logging.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Management Sciences or other related Intelligence or Information Technology discipline.
Experience:
Less than 2 years experience in administrating computer systems.
Skills:
Windows, Linux and/or UNIX administration and basic commands. PERL scripting is a plus.
Licensures, Certifications:
Microsoft and/or CISCO certifications are desired, but not required at this level. Must pursue CCENT and CCNA in first year on contract.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: (% of time)
Basic client side systems administration
Add and delete users and grant privileges
Install and push out patches
Assist in system configuration
Other duties/projects as assigned
