Job SummaryThe Junior Systems Administrator is an internal technical support position. Our department keeps the company running and works to improve company processes. This position includes end-user support, routine maintenance, and infrastructure support to the company.
Responsibilities
Linux, Windows and Mac desktop administration and support
Linux and Windows server administration and support
Build computers, set up and maintain servers and network services
Maintain company phones and remote access capabilities
Write scripts to automate processes
Work late for maintenance night once a month
Requirements of Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in IT or equivalent experience (4 years) in a related field preferred
Two years of Linux experience required
Experience with Active Directory and LDAP required
Cisco CCNA certification preferred
Experience with advanced networking including switch configuration, VLANs, DNS and routing preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to program in Perl, Bash scripts and Batch scripts required
Knowledge of Virtualization, including Virtualbox, KVM or vmware preferred
Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Drupal or Apache preferred
Knowledge of HPC, xCAT or openstack a plus
PHP and Ruby a plus
