Kernel Software Engineer (Linux) Solera Networks

Overview:

The primary responsibilities of the Linux system Software Engineer are to design, implement, document and maintain Linux system libraries, modules and applications related to Solera Networks products.
Job Responsibilities:

Design, document and implement system libraries, modules and applications for Solera Networks products
Design and implement file system, networking, and management features for Solera Networks products

Personal Requirements:

Experience with Linux 2.6 kernel
Experience designing, implementing and documenting Linux system modules
Experience with VFS and Linux file systems
Strong C/C++ skills
Experience with TCP/IP and associated networking protocols
Experience with network packet analysis
Knowledge of Linux package management and creation with RPM
Experience with unit testing and working closely with QA
Very strong troubleshooting skills
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with SQL database and pattern-matching theory and application a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

BS Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
3-5 years Linux system development experience.
