? Unique Sales and account management position for a major breakthrough product having
achieved global recognition and awards for world class innovation and engineering excellence
? The product is a highly novel surgical retina device, now approved in the USA and Europe, and
permits for the first ever time, a degree of visual acuity to be restored in completely blind patients.
? Providing the highest level of professional sales and account management to the top ophthalmic
academic center and hospitals in the USA will be your focus, in addition to developing long term
relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the highly specialized area of surgical retina.

? The product is ?one of a kind?, premium priced with specific reimbursement so you will be
required to build and implement a customized sales strategy with supporting processes to ensure
? You will work closely with the marketing and supports teams team to facilitate the commercial
launch of the product in the USA.
? Expertise will be required in all aspects of company technology, to include scientific and clinical
knowledge, company operations strategies and policies, surgery, and reimbursement.
? You will report directly to the Vice President in charge of sales and marketing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Represent the company at all times as a sales leader, product expert and ambassador
? Manage the existing customer base, facilitate orders, and ensure timely service and response.
Maintain these relationships on an ongoing basis.
? Recruit potential new customers (doctors and hospitals) - research, analyze and monitor financial,
technological, regulatory and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be
? Arrange appointments with doctors, hospital staff and patient support groups when necessary.
? Deliver compelling presentations to the above groups offering both educational (disease) product
and reimbursement information.
? Develop and understand the ?decision making process? in each target hospital to ensure
maximum efficiency of resources and time management
? Facilitate and attend surgeries to provide guidance
? Implement new sales procedures where appropriate.
? Travel throughout assigned territory.
? Coordinate all issues including training, sales, service, support, and reimbursement/ insurance
? Must be able to travel International/Domestic 50% of time.
Education and Experience
? Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, or Marketing
? 2-5 years experience in Medical Device Sales/Marketing or account management
? Sales and Marketing experience with ophthalmic devices ? premium priced or highly innovative
?disruptive?; technology a distinct advantage.
? Product launch experience working with marketing and other support teams
? Knowledge of Reimbursement preferred
? Excellent verbal and non-verbal communications skills
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office
