Who We Want:
Bazaarvoice is looking for a Level 2 Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team. A Level 2 Support Engineer works to troubleshoot issues, answer questions about the Bazaarvoice platform, and make changes to the client configurations to resolve client issues. They are also responsible for identifying and reporting technical bugs to Engineering.
The ideal candidate is someone who is technically curious, a problem solver and motivated by customer success and interaction. A strong focus on client satisfaction is crucial in being successful in this role. This role will enable the candidate to (a) grow a technical skill set and (b) interact with clients from a number of familiar brand names. A track record of demonstrating initiative and execution are vital characteristics for any candidate pursuing this role.
- Address and resolve concerns, issues, and questions for both internal &
external clients in a professional & timely manner
- Troubleshoot integration of Bazaarvoice platform on clients? ecommerce
sites
- Code solutions to client issues when appropriate
- Handle client escalations with empathy and professionalism
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
- Strong client-facing communication skills and experience
- Professional communication skills via both phone and email are required
- Strong organization skills
- At least 3-5 years? experience HTML knowledge is required
- At least 2-3 years? experience Javascript is required
- Knowledge of CSS, XML, MySQL, and SEO concepts
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and implementing Web technologies
- Knowledge of programming and software development concepts
- Critical thinking capabilities are crucial in this role
- Proficiency in trouble shooting and code debugging
- Excellent written/oral communication and follow-up skills
- Detail oriented, self- motivated
- A Bachelor?s degree in CIS, MIS, or Computer Science is preferred (or equivalent
job experience)
- Fluency in a second language a plus
- Desire to learn quickly and thrive in a changing environment
