Genoa Healthcare Clinical Laboratory is seeking to connect with an experienced Billing Specialist in the Roseville, Minnesota area who wants to work in a fun filled and fast-paced, healthcare environment. This position, often referred to as Revenue Cycle Management will be responsible for the entire billing cycle, payer contracts, submitting claims, resolving rejections, verifying insurance coverage and updating accordingly. Identify trends and ways to help prevent billing exceptions.
Job/Skills Requirements:
1-3 years laboratory billing experience required
High School diploma required Associates degree preferred
Must have Med Part B experience
Ability to use all Microsoft Office products
Must have exceptional Excel experience
Prior data management experience preferred
Must have excellent customer service skills - promote positive relationships with patients and staff members throughout collection process
Good oral and written communication skills required
Job Description:
Submits claims according to Federal/State and Managed Care rules, regulations and compliance guidelines.
Performs follow-up and resolution of denied claims, patient account research and resolves account issues.
Analyzes the unbilled report and the Denial Database to bill charges timely as well as identify trends to avoid future billing delays and denials.
Researches, identifies and corrects billing errors and may be asked to make corrections to Orchard file maintenance.
Verifies health insurance benefits and identifies reimbursement issues.
Determines credits and issues refunds.
Responsible for patients' health information and for ensuring the security of their data.
Work with health plans and contracts department to ensure necessary contracts are in place for reimbursements

Performs other duties as assigned by the GM Lab
