Job Description / Responsibilities:
This position will be in support of the Simulation Engineering program. The candidate will be responsible to perform highly complex structural simulations of core engine components such as connecting rods, hydraulic lines, cooling lines, connection brackets housings and engine packages. This candidate will be working on numerous projects with structural based elements and dynamic components. Candidates must be proficient in the area of finite element modeling and performing detailed stress analysis using ABAQUS to formulate sound conclusions and recommendations on engine components. In addition to executing analysis projects, the individual will be a liaison to coordinate/lead projects with an offsite/offshore analyst team.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 year background in FEA
Pre-process, mesh and post-process experience related to engines and engine components
3 years of ABAQUS experience on engines
Demonstrated liaison experience in coordinating/leading projects with offshore team
Desirable qualifications: 10 years product analysis and Project Management experience
Minimum Education: BSME
Required Software: ABAQUS, MS Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Min Years Industry Experience: 5 Years
