This is a full time position based in Palo Alto, CA.Were looking for a hands on engineer who will architect and build scalable and robust distributed systems. Youre well versed at caching, queuing, large scale data migration, monitoring tools, or distributed data storage.
Some of the things you may have worked on:
Developed asynchronous and fault tolerant systems with message queues
Architected a shared nothing architecture
Built a RESTful services layer and caching with memcache
This is what youll be responsible for:
Building core, backend software components
Scaling applications
Working the full stack to solve critical engineering problems
Heres what youll bring to the table:
Core understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms)
Mastery of a language like PHP, Python, C/C++, Java
Expert database knowledge including data model design, caching, and optimizing queries
Experience with OS internals, distributed systems, or server architectures
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
