Infusionsoft is looking for a pan-dimensional storyteller capable of spinning research, customer stories and imagination into narrative gold. A social media seismograph uncannily sensitive to current and emerging conversation epicenters. A small business zealot with an army of devotees. Is that asking too much? Maybe, but we don't think so, and we're on a mission to find that perfect fit. The position's core role is to craft original content that projects authority and relevance for small businesses. You'll execute original research and work with customer-facing teams to create stories that capture the unique challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. You'll also be responsible for promoting Infusionsoft content on relevant social media platforms, and animate that content through conversation, social sharing and networking with influencer audiences. As a member of the Content team reporting to the Director, you'll lead a team of two brand journalists, providing editorial direction and creative oversight. Content formats include blogs, podcasts, ebooks, infographics, videos and electronic presentsions. You'll also collaborate with the Director and other senior team members on content marketing strategic plans.
Creating original, high-quality content that small business owners and the influencers/multipliers who love them will consume and share.
Working with internal teams to develop standalone and complementary online, print, audio and video content.
Participating in conversations on blogs relevant to our customers and industry.
Identifying opportunities to contribute content through relevant external outlets.
Content curation and merchandising through social media.
An undergraduate college degree.
5-10 years of substantial blogging experience either as a solo blogger or as a primary contributor to company or client blogs.
Experience in content curation and social media engagement that supports content marketing programs. Relevant experience with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and SlideShare. Bonus points available for actionable insights on Google+, Pinterest and visual platforms.
High proficiency in WordPress content management and publishing.
A basic understand of HTML as it relates to SEO and content marketing.
Understanding of and ability to use Google Analytics to capture performance data, devise specialized reports and interpret results.
Ability to execute against daily deadlines.
Self-directed, enterprising work style.
Commitment to accountability and transparency.
Familiarity with multiple PPC/advertising platforms (Google AdWords, Facebook advertising, Twitter promoted tweets, etc.).
Proficiency in explanatory writing (e.g. educational long-form articles).
Personal or family involvement with a small business.
Experience crafting accessible stories about SaaS for mainstream audiences.
Travel will be less than 5%. This position is based in Chandler, AZ (possibly Austin, TX, for an exceptional candidate).
