Job Description:
The Lead Business Development Representative (BDR) is an inside sales role responsible for qualifying leads generated through Marketing programs or other lead sources, as well as generating additional leads via research and other tactics. The Lead BDR builds relationships with prospects, works with them to build a business case for HighJump solutions, qualifies the prospect based on strict qualification criteria, and then passes the sales lead to the outside sales team and alliance partners when appropriate. Additionally, this position will serve as a coach and mentor to junior BDR team members, assisting them in polishing their research, calling and consultative selling skills. This position works very closely with the marketing managers, outside sales team and the alliances group. The Lead BDR manages large pipelines of prospective customers and is expected to report on pipeline progress, territory development, and strategic territory accounts weekly with the leadership team.
Requirements:
Solid (2+ years) background in business development or inside sales, selling technology products in a business-to-business environment over the phone
Sales and results driven and persistent
Strong oral and written Communication skills
Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior BDRs
Intuitive and consultative, with excellent communication skills
The ability to bring potential prospects to the next step
Good energy and able to handle extended phone work (cold calling) each day
Operates well in a team environment
Open to feedback and suggestions, share ideas, successes and failures with other team members
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or Information Technology preferred
