Lead C++ Search Engine Developer Become
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated engineer to join our Search Engine team. As part of our core search team, this person will be working on cutting edge search technologies and also experiment with different ranking strategies to improve overall performance metrics. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about Search Engines.Responsibilities:
?Gain deep understanding of our search engine.
?Brainstorm, design and develop algorithms.
?Work in conjunction with product/business team to identify and build new features.
?Test various ranking strategies to improve core performance metrics.
Requirements:
?BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
?At least 5 years of experience in software development.
?Strong background in algorithms and object-oriented design.
?Strong programming skills in C++ on Unix/Linux environment.
?Experience with scripting languages such as bash and PERL.
?Experience building distributed systems that require high performance, stability and scalability.
?Good Knowledge of relational database systems and SQL.
?Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
?Good problem solving skills and a quick learner.
?Experience in high-paced environments and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Pluses:
?Prior experience in a start-up environment.
?Background in machine learning / statistics.
