Plastiq is looking for an in-house lead designer who is eager to solve difficult but interesting problems that involve the lifecycle of our customer's experiences. The designer will be expected to have strong communication skills, be brand oriented and comfortable working with marketing folks as well as engineers. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with minimal supervision and be excited to work on various projects, from marketing collateral to Web design, and from print to digital.Responsibilities:
-Work closely with company executives in marketing, services and business development to create exceptional print and Web materials that support the sale ongoing use of Plastiq
-Produce press-ready print materials for a multitude of venues
-Work closely with internal product team to develop intelligent concepts that are both uniquely creative and easy to use
-Design exceptional, clean, easy to use interfaces and collaborate with engineers to make your designs a reality
Requirements:
-A "design" oriented, strategic approach to product & service / big picture, system thinking
-An exceptional portfolio that includes print & Web (software) work
-An intimate knowledge of industry tools, love of typography, and can produce beautiful, pixel / dot perfect designs
-Knows how to produce clean HTML and CSS - at an intermediate to advanced level
-Can produce press-ready layouts and artwork
-Great communication skills and ability to collaborate / harness the brainpower in "the room"
