Lead Designer Stride Health
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We?re looking for a designer to help us shape the future of Stride. We believe that all our products should be beautiful. You will surprise and delight users and change the face of health transactions.
As Stride?s Lead Designer, you'll work with the team to promote beautiful, modern, usable design throughout the company. You'll have the authority and ability to make strong and quick design decisions in the best interest of our users and business. We will look to you to dive deep on refining our User Experience, but you will also own the pixel-perfect visual design.
Own design for our consumer-centric product: we still have a few TRICKS up our sleeves, so come play a hand!
Produce high-quality designs from concept to execution, primarily for web app but with mobile in-mind
Iterate and refine UX daily: it?s our final frontier.
Deliver the final visual designs to our engineering team, with the guidance (often written) needed to implement your vision
Whiteboard, prototype, iterate, and get feedback from real people.
Occasionally build icons, graphics, and marketing materials
Live and breathe elegant consumer experiences
Surprise & delight our customers
Prototype the team?s (and your) latest + greatest ideas
You have experience with interaction design and it?s reflected throughout your work. You probably lose sleep over Byzantine user experiences and outdated visual design, and get excited by breaking the mold. Ideally, you?ve built a live web product or two and can point us to it. Also:
BA/BS degree in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, related field or equivalent practical experience.
Core design skills; ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color effectively.
Experience with web design issues like browser capabilities, resolutions, etc.
Thrive working with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with a terrific attitude and strong communication skills.
Cherries on top:
It?s a huge plus if you can create interactive prototypes of your designs and have HTML/ CSS experience.
Push creativity, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching (and solving) problems for consumers.
