Lead Engineer - Payment Systems Zoosk

Do you enjoy leading small teams, where you can keep your hands in the code? Would you like to work on systems that process thousands of customer payments a day? If so, Zoosk is looking for an experienced Lead Engineer who will be responsible for the software systems that drive our payment processing and financial reconciliation. You will manage a small team of software engineers and work closely with the product team to execute on a feature roadmap. You will build the infrastructure capabilities necessary to support our explosive growth.
The Role:
Lead the development and maintenance of software systems that process Zoosk financial transactions for millions of users
Collaborate with the product team to define clear software deliverables and establish milestones for projects
Integrate your code with third-party APIs
Manage a small team of software engineers in the execution of these responsibilities
It Would Be Geat If You:
Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or something related
Can code in PHP or Java
Understand relational databases, preferably MySQL with large data sets
Worked for several years building web-based, data-driven software systems, with some time in a leadership role
Know a bit about payment processing and accounting practices
