NetSpend Direct is an entrepreneurial business unit within NetSpend, with responsibility for growing the company?s online and direct-to-consumer business line including all facets of customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and servicing customers through web and mobile platforms.
This position is based in San Mateo, CA and there will be occasional travel to NetSpend?s headquarters in Austin, Texas. The company offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including group medical, dental, vision care, and a 4% company match on 401K contributions.
NetSpend is growing quickly and investing in its online and direct business. We?re looking to build a world class team of to contribute to building the business. As a key contributor within NetSpend?s Direct team, you?ll be able to define new customer acquisition growth strategies that continue NetSpend Direct?s impressive growth.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing lead generation programs to acquire new new customers for Netspend prepaid card brands through several channels, with an emphasis on mobile acquisition and other offline direct response channels. Responsible for managing the execution of monthly campaigns through external marketing partners to meet business?s customer acquisition goals.
Actively source new mobile lead generation partners, negotiate pricing, manage vendor onboarding, and execute contract/ IO?s for testing. Will also be responsible for ensuring accurate operational campaign setup internally and with partners.
Manage existing marketing partnerships, work with partner to identify new publisher sources, and optimizes existing publisher sources to meet channel ROI targets. Oversees the setup of new partners and campaigns,
Create and implement test strategy across card brands to optimize source. Ensure creative adherence by external marketing partners. Produce weekly partner performance report and meeting agenda.
Communicate and manage monthly account forecasts and budgets by card brand. Track performance against Plan, and provide month-end report to Partner for billing reconciliation.
Work with internal and external creative resources to develop new mobile banner, text copy and mobile landing page creative. Manage creative development, message and offer testing strategy with a goal to maximize click through and conversion rates. Route new creative through internal and Bank Legal for approval. Monitor partners to ensure compliant use of creative assets.
Maintains frequent correspondence with marketing partners and manages a weekly performance meeting with each vendor to review performance to monthly goals.
Work closely with cross-functional team partners in Creative, Operations, Customer Service and Data Analytics teams to implement initiatives and track performance.
Partner with Online Acquisition team and Lifecycle Marketing team to share learnings, leverage creative best practices, optimize early lifecycle conversion experience and performance for mobile-sourced accounts.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum 5-7 years B2C marketing experience in technology, software, financial services or information services industry. Experience with mobile or online lead generation preferred.
A strong communicator, with exceptional organizational, conceptual, and logical problem solving and technical capabilities
Bachelors Degree, preferably in marketing or communications,
Multi-channel B2C marketing and experience with online and preferably, mobile acquisition lead acquisition.
Experience managing lead generation campaigns, including creative, test design and analysis. Maintains good balance of strategic vision and tactical implementation. Hands-on management style.
Solid Account Management experience and adept at building strong relationships with marketing partners.
Has a passion for mobile and in tune with emerging mobile marketing strategies. Acts as marketing?s point person for mobile metrics and new developments.
Data driven, analytical and comfortable working in a data intensive environment.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects. Thrives in a fast-moving, changing environment with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated, outgoing, engaging with a self-directed entrepreneurial spirit. Has a can-do attitude.
