Position Summary:
The Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for meeting an assigned quota and assisting the Direct Sales organization to drive revenue by helping to prospect within an assigned territory, follow up on Marketing leads, identify potential new prospects, initially qualify accounts, and generate interest in the SMB market space.
The Lead Generation Specialist is also responsible for following up on marketing campaigns within their assigned territory. Exceptional follow up and administrative skills are essential for success. Another aspect of the Lead Generation Specialist position is working with Direct Sales team member(s) to define and maximize revenue opportunities in an assigned territory. Strong communication skills and experience in working in a team environment is a must.
Job Responsibilities:
Prospecting (Includes Cold Calling)
Identify key contacts
Territory building and farming
Contacting Inbound leads
Qualifying prospects for initial interest
Maintaining lead flow in Salesforce.com
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years sales experience working for a high-tech software company, with a strong aptitude for technology
Minimum 1 year experience with SFA tool, preferably Salesforce.com
General understanding of the internet
Effective web-based presentation skills
Experience conducting software product demonstrations and sales presentations
Ability to build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective contacts
Outstanding written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate at ease with Senior Executives and decision makers
Minimum BA/BS degree
Experience with working in a team sales environment
Smart, flexible, diligent, and professional
Maintain a sense of urgency and be goal oriented
Capable of thinking creatively ?outside the box?
Must be a ?self-starter? and capable making independent decisions
Ability to work and flourish in a startup/entrepreneurial environment
Straightforward and honest team player mentality
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
