In this role you will need to:
Lead a team of talented engineers
Proactively maintain critical shared infrastructure systems & processes which support the customer base, including but not limited to YUM, Satellite, Active Directory, Vmware, LDAP.
Provision,upgrade & troubleshoot Centos Linux
Provision,upgrade & troubleshoot SAN & Fabric services for internal/external customers & inventory management as required.
Setup/configuration & troubleshooting of Centos Servers and Cluster solutions.
Serve as liaison and main point of contact for the Product Support System Engineer Group providing information regarding server health, product issues and fixes,recommendations and system performance.
Clear, concise communicator.
Believes in issue ownership.
Review error and audit logs.
Work with vendors,I.T. staff, development personnel, and customers to troubleshoot problems with server applications.
Assist in policing our corporate and configuration policies
Monitor system performance & performs preventive maintenance on servers.
Troubleshoot and analyze cause of performance problems.
Work on and own problems of moderate scope.
Exercise judgment using procedures and practices to determine appropriate course of action.
Assist in the distribution of newly developed software, features, changes, etc to production machines.
Perform migrations of customer data as needed to maintain balanced loads on systems or in the event of emergency.
Perform on-call duties as required.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Demonstrate an appetite to perform,succeed and grow in ways most people never dream of.
Required Skills:
Experience managing technical people: motivating, providing feedback, garnering respect, and accomplishing work through effective delegation
Be an experienced System Administrator- 5+ years
Have Senior to Expert Level knowledge and use of the Linux OS
Have Experience with Chef or other configuration management tools.
Have a passion for technology and using it to create high performance, stable production systems.
Be able and willing to learn new technologies and tools
Effectively escalate critical issues to the appropriate level
Desired Skills:
Experience with Cloud technologies such as VCioud, Amazon Cloud, Openstack, etc.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zenoss, etc.
Good level of knowledge of VMWare.
Good working knowledge of MySQL administration.
Good level of knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems and
Solutions (AD, Installation/Configuration etc.)
Able to work with networked/distributed computing environment concepts.
Ability to work independently on projects.
Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Peri, Bash, Tk, Ruby).

Strong analytical, critical, and creative problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapting when priorities change
Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
