This independent self-starter will provide support for the Oracle E-Business Suite Financial system. Primary responsibility is to manage and resolve production incidents and issues, be the central point of contact for complex Oracle technical questions and coordination of issues, ensure the communication between teams is fluid and encourage collaboration.
This person will be responsible for the following:
Managing the Production Environment Incident Management process
Open, monitor and work Oracle SRs by utilizing your skills, experience and knowledge of Oracle. This includes coordinating/communicating with functional SMEs.
Actively oversee and coordinate the work of functional, development and operational team members to resolve issues
Resolve customer issues by monitoring Production Support Requests, via Help Desk Service Now
Technical contact for non-database related problems with 3rd parties (Banks, Vendors) & 3rd party software vendors for assistance in Production problem identification and resolution (i.e. Concur)
Perform the duties and tasks as outlined in the migration process for moves from DEV to UAT to Production or Production Support to Production, if required.
Work with functional staff to resolve their issues
Work with functional staff to understand their needs and represent those support needs to the development and operations teams
Provide input on review of new applications and review BR100s, MD050s, MD070s when needed
Provide input into code releases
Primary administrator for production support instance and user maintenance
Minimum five years? experience with Oracle ERP Financials R12 in a support role is preferred.
Previous experience in GL, AP, AR, PO, INV & CM modules (R12).
Extensive experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle 8i/9i/10G, Oracle Discoverer (10G), required
Knowledge of Oracle Alerts, Workflow and Concurrent Manager required
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to functional users using the appropriate level of detail.
Experience with interface creation and support via EDI and Oracle API required.
Customer service focused with the ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details, meet schedules, and deliver on customer commitments.
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Must be available for after-hours support, especially during month end closing
BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
