The Lead/Principal Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding both technical and business concepts, and communicate those concepts to the architects and development teams. This individual, while working closely with product managers, will develop detailed use cases and functional requirements that are based on system knowledge, domain expertise and research.
Works closely with Product Managers and Software Architects during software design and planning process
Works closely with Product Managers to understand high level functional requirements and the business problems we are trying to solve
Conduct business /systems analysis for new features being proposed
Performs systems analysis on changes on incremental enhancements suggested
Creates detail use cases that captures details requirements
Works with product architects and product developers in proposing appropriate solution design for all suggested features and enhancements
Works with Product Manager to apply stack ranking values and set use case priority base on business urgency and priorities
Participates in test planning
Performs acceptance on completed use cases during development cycle.
Documents system functions.
Works with Technical Writers on end user and system documentation, reviews and approves documentations
Provide training on new features added to the software to internal groups in preparation for release readiness
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Ability to take high level requirements and breaking them down into well defined, concise use cases that can be implemented and/or integrated into existing software systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and technical team members across the organization
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong interpersonal skills and an effective communication style
Ability to effectively communicate and work in a distributed environment with colleagues located in different geographical regions and across various levels of departments and organizations to facilitate meetings with a business and a technical audience
Ability to understand software related concepts or prior experience with hands on software development.
Excellent MS Office and Visio skills, ability to create story boards and present solution concepts visually a plus.
Proven ability to be able to successfully multi-task and engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Bachelor?s degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent degree with business system experience
3+ years experiences with CRM, ERP or Supply Chain Management software or domain a plus
Experiences with Agile software methodology a plus
5+ years business or systems analysis experience
