Essential Job Description:
The QA Lead Tester oversees testing for a project and leads a team of testers assigned to the project, seeing it through from early development through production. Responsibilities include:
Directly coordinates all functional test activities.
Compiles test plans and test results from all test activities including S&Q, mechanical, subjective analysis and others.
Enters and maintains current status of defects in bug databases, including verification of fixes and regression tests.
Runs Bug reviews.
Creates and presents testing status and quality reports at regular intervals.
Coordinates smoketesting of builds in advance of introduction to release system for further testing.
Experience/Qualifications:
3 years software & hardware testing experience required including development of test plans.
Expert with bug tracking programs and bug reporting (e.g.: Bugzilla, TestTrack Pro, etc.)
Experience/familiarity with Line 6 and competing MI and Pro Audio hardware.
Knowledge of our products and their primary applications, including live audio setup, performance and mixing; studio recording; musical training and experience with electric and acoustic guitar and effects processors.
Minimum of 3 years working with live sound: configuring PA speakers, amps and mixers; stage setup of mics and other inputs; configuration of wireless systems; front of house and monitor mixing.
Guitar, bass and/or keyboards experience, professional music production and/or performance experience a plus.
Ability to reads music (notation and/or tablature) is desireable.
Skills Required:
Intimate knowledge of multiple DAW/audio sequencing packages (e.g.: ProTools, Sonar, Digital Performer, Logic, Cubase, Audition, etc.).
Conversant in MIDI protocols.
PC & Mac OS expert ? Mastery of hardware/software configuration and troubleshooting, including imaging/restoring multiple-OS & app/driver configurations, LAN and Wi-Fi setup/maintenance.
Microsoft Office expertise (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with on-line collaboration tools such as Wiki.
Basic programming or scripting ability is a plus.
Detail-oriented and able to stay on top of multiple concurrent projects.
Comfortable with fast pace and willing to work occasional long hours or weekend day(s).
