Lead QA Engineer Netronome
Netronome is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to be responsible for the complete testing and release cycle of Netronome hardware and software, including review of product requirements and development and industry specifications as well as writing, automating and executing test plans. The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to learn new technologies and related testing techniques quickly to keep up with rapidly evolving industry trends. The role calls for a tenacious and patient engineer with strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, and an ability to promote cooperation among team colleagues.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Participate as a lead on a project team of engineers involved in the release and test of software
? Participate in beta coordination with other builds and regression testing of the software
? Interface with Customer Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to understand customer problems and requirements and provide raw material for training and documentation
? Define comprehensive test strategy based on evolving and changing product specifications
? Ensure sufficient negative test coverage in product test plans
? Design product and regression test strategy
? Lead the development of test automation
? Coordinate and/or lead cross-platform test efforts
Required Skills:
? Extensive experience with Systems Testing of networking platforms
? In depth knowledge and experience with routing protocols and one or more LAN/WAN protocols (such as Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, IPSec, etc.), IP Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, etc.
? Solid foundation in firewall, routing and VPN technologies as well as TCP/IP protocols
? Familiarity with network test tools including data and voice traffic generators, protocol analyzers, etc. (Smartbits, IXIA, Sniffer Pro, Wireshark, SNORT, etc.)
? Familiarity with network provisioning and management tools including: DHCP servers, DNS servers, TFTP Servers, Syslog servers, SNMP Management servers
? Linux shell scripting, TCL/Expect, Python
? Linux administration and Networking
? Basic C/C++ Programming in a Linux environment
? Familiar with common testing applications such as test case management and tracking system, defect and enhancement tracking systems, electronic document control systems, software version control systems, etc.
Experience:
? Requires Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field plus 7-9+ years related experience OR a Master?s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field plus 5-7 years related experience.
