Vision Chain is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to run all facets of our quality engineering program. This is a hands-on role that involves scripting, test development, database management, and rapid release cycles.Responsibilities are:
Analyze product requirements and user stories to write testscripts for automation
Management of multiple environments to support different testscenarios
Proactively identify defects and effectively communicate withthe developers
Identify project risks and make recommendations to reduce theserisks
Work in an Agile, rapid-release environment
Own and grow the QA function at Vision Chain
What would a typical day look like in this job?
A typical day would involve a variety of tasks andactivities:
Communicate directly with engineers about features and tests(10-20%)
Design and implement new tests (30-50%)
Manage the QA environment (15-25%)
Run regressions, stress, and performance tests (20-30%)

has strong analytical and problem solving skills
likes to write programs and scripts
has experience working in Agile software teams
has a strong interest in using metrics to assess code coverageand defect rates

What technical skills does this position require?
The majority of the work for this position currently involvesthe following technologies, tools, and methodologies. A candidatewith a solid foundation and practical experience in these willbecome productive most quickly:
proficiency with a scripting language and interest in doingscripting
strong database background (either Oracle, SQL Server, orTeradata)
solid hands-on knowledge of Selenium or an equivalent UIautomated testing tool
experience with database-oriented automated testing
understanding of cross browser compatability testing
Special consideration given to candidates with these skills andexperiences:
Worked in big data environments
Supply Chain applications
Experience with Agile development
Git
FogBugz
Ability to read and understand .Net and Perl code
