Join our outstanding software development team as a Lead Quality Assurance Analyst for our world-class enterprise software. You will work within a team and will interact daily with product managers and software engineers. We are looking for someone with recent software QA experience and proven ability to meet deadlines and perform in a fast paced professional QA environment.You will need to have strong analytical and organizational skills and the strictest attention to details. You will need excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. Experience in a startup environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
Carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
Perform and lead tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
May create test data for applications.
Document and work to resolve all complex problems.
Report progress on problem resolution to management.
Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.
Act as an information resource about assigned areas to technical writers and/or other QA Analysts.
Perform complex work flow analysis and recommend quality improvements. Under minimal supervision, review and analyze test documentation and test results.
Provide estimates for resource and project planning purposes for the software development life cycle.
Communicate project status to the QA Lead.
Mentor and train lower-level employees including QA Analysts in the company's QA methodology and documentation process.
Contribute to software design reviews and test strategy sessions.
Assist with scheduling, provide estimates for documentation and testing efforts, and ensure standards and deadlines are met.
Define detailed end-to-end functionality matrices and test strategies for employee management software utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio and TFS.
Perform test maintenance and patch releases, as well as functional software releases to maintain optimum system functionality.
Work closely with the project management team to analyze and identify functional specifications.
Apply system and technical knowledge in SQL and web applications to create and maintain a reusable data repository for testing.
Identify, track, and follow-through on issues and defects.
Provide feedback to management for employee performance reviews.
Required Skills and Experience
Master?s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Quality Analyst, or a related position.
Experience must include: system functionality; QA methodology and documentation process; system and technical knowledge in SQL and web applications; software development life cycle; Microsoft SQL Server; Visual Studio and TFS; and testing employee management software.
In lieu of a Master?s degree and 3 years of experience, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience.
