Position Overview
The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer should possess strong testing skills (including test case design and automation), experience testing ERP based applications, excellent project management skills, and basic programming skills. The tasks include designing test strategies and test plans, designing and automating functional and performance test cases, developing and reviewing test cases, and leading test execution efforts with remote QA teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test strategy, test schedule, test plan, and test cases
- Synchronize test execution efforts with project schedules
- Perform all aspects of verification, including functional testing, regression testing, and bug fix verification
- Coordinate tasks and issue resolution with remote QA teams
- Design automated functional and performance test cases
- BS in Computer Science or comparable field
- 6+ years QA experience in testing business application software (Sales/Distribution/Costing/Pricing are preferred)
- 2+ years leading project with remote QA teams
- Strong test case design skills
- Experience in product based companies is required
- Experience in writing SQL queries on Oracle or DB2 RDBMS
- Experience in designing automated functional and performance test cases
- Experience in working with test tools such as JUnit, WinRunner/QTP, LoadRunner
- Administrative and user level experience on Windows and Unix (Solaris or AIX) systems
- Experience in working on at least one of these application servers: WebLogic, Netweaver, JBoss, or Websphere
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Work effectively with geographically distributed teams
