Lead Software Application Architect Xtium
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This position will be based in King of Prussia, PA. The lead software architect will be responsible for the following activities:
Creating an extensible and highly scalable API framework with a supporting data and security model.
Develop data model and associated software architecture for existing and new products.
Analyzing existing technologies, proposing recommendations for improvements and guiding implementations.
Stay current on new technologies and innovation in the broader technology space and introduce and integrate these technologies into the team and the solutions being built.
Implement the Agile-based development practices that will achieve availability of new solutions as quickly as possible while still ensuring great quality.
Lead and reinforce company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style, and expectations of employees. This individual will be looked upon to inspire confidence and generate excitement for the project.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to ensure proper alignment of technology and services.
Be accountable for and share responsibility with other members of the management team of the overall success of the new product.
A minimum of 5-7 years of web application API & software application development experience.
A solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of virtualization and storage technologies.
Working knowledge of a significant subset of technologies including: Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat), Java, Perl, Python, Rest/Json, Spring, RestExpress, Node.js, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, DataFabric, Cheetah, Memcached, and Redis.
Experience with software best practices in a SaaS/Cloud environment is critical.
A solid track record leading development teams and over delivering on projects.
Experience in SCRUM & Agile Development Processes
The ability to stay current and have a passion for new technologies
Solid management and interpersonal skills ? internal and customer facing
Proven project management skills including project effort/cost estimation and project scheduling
Demonstrated ability to create API architectures and frameworks
Ability and interest to act as a technical leader and coach
Demonstrated management qualities:
Must be able to recruit, lead, and motivate a staff
Must be a creative strategist with tactical implementation experience
Must drive effective decision making within the organization.
